Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend  Next Entry

so the downfall of having an awful memory: apparently i remembered this wrong. probably less than a half hour after it happened. ryan apparently never said that so i guess jim did? the reason i make the hourly comic is basically so that i'll remember anything about my past. but it is amazing that i still get it wrong within this context.

the important thing is that there are birds in the bathroom at that place and they have peanut sauce enchiladas that are really tasty.

Everytime you recall memory you are actually recreating it.

Listen to this:

Just been on my mind the last 24 hours or so. Kinda blew my mind.

You're an awsome comiker by the way. You also post good musiks.

thank you very much! i'm listening to it now and it is pretty great. i already knew some of this stuff, in part because of how bad my memory is. when i was a child i eventually figured out that i could and would successfully decide to remember something differently than the way it actually went. and i wouldn't realize it was a false memory i'd created until i came up against some incontrovertible proof that things went differently than my memory. i don't know if other people experience this same thing, but it distanced me pretty strongly from my past even at an early age. i just don't care that much about my past, because it is barely there and what is there i'm not real sure happened anyway.

hooray!

I enjoy the little cat head occasionally poking into the frame this year.

This project is, by its very nature, somewhat narratively unsettling. I have no idea why you're in...is it Mexico? I see the minutia of what goes on in your life for one month out of the year and in between, you go off and get new roommates, new jobs, relocate out of country, acquire cats. There's no context, so it's all a bit mysterious. Interesting, but strange.

ha ha, the theme of enchiladas is a reoccuring one in the hourly comics.

Cool, I've never had an enchilada myself, but all this talk about them makes me want to try one!

i've wondered about this, how the annual gaps of time feel to the reader. i imagine that it is kind of disorienting, especially now with me being in another country. (mexico is correct)

i figured it'd be pretty strange, and i guess i was right!

i've wondered if i should make fill-in-the-gap comics for between the years, and i might look into that before next year. also if i ever make a book out of 'em i think i'd have to do that.

The convenient thing about your style is that in order to retroactively make your strip historically accurate, all you need is the flood fill tool and about five seconds of free time.

Why do you close the door on Flight of the Conchords? Do you not like it?

That is a ridiculous use of the internet. Criticizing someone closing a door the other day.
