i'd been hoping to avoid making more comics about the flu but it has basically been the only thing going on (i'm feeling some better but it is slow going)

these flu comics are amazing. do you find making them therapeutic, or is that a patently ridiculous concept?

HA! I applied on-line for a job at a hospital and it took me almost a half-hour to fill out their form, only to click through to the last page where they wanted me to fill in my social security number - the form wouldn't go through without it. Plus, it was even on a completely unsecured page! I think everybody in their HR department must have had your flu!

Even though I like these comics I hope you feel better soon, Mr. Campbell. I like it much better when the horrible things that inspire you aren't affecting you quite so directly.

Seconding this. I hope your next comic subject is based a sudden affliction of presents and money!

I don't know if I'd go quite that far...but maybe I just haven't fully imagined the potential awesomeness of Pictures for Smug Self-Satified Children.

What did the flu get you for your anniversary? I only got a strange yellow lump composed of mucus and a 10 dollar target gift card.

Now, now, people, let's not be hasty. Everyone knows that to be a truly great artist, you have to be miserable. If van Gogh hadn't cut his ear off, would he still have been such an artistic genius? This is practically the same thing.

What I'm saying is, sorry, John Campbell, but I was the one who put flu in your pancakes. I am only partly sorry. (It is for the good of us all.)

Also, your latest pfsc: *fantastic*

Re: I would like to!

You would chose to spend your only life that way?

The comic already exists, and is great. Go ahead and enjoy it as much as possible, but making a game is pretty hard work. If you have the skill and time to make a game version of the comic, maybe you should just make a game that has some similar themes? I don't know, I just think that there's no need to re-invent the wheel explicitly. I think you have better things to do, we've already read the comic. Spinners, though, now we're talking.

I'm not out to crap in yr cheerios or offend, just want to encourage the best of all possible worlds to peek it's head out now & again.

The Flu and other stuff

Unfortunately, the flu has been two timing yu (or millions timing yu?) with me, my whole family, and sometimes my dog! But I hope yu are happy together nonetheless. I wish I had millions of dollar to patronize artists like yu, unless yr the type who doesn't deal well with success. The last thing I need is another artist I like shooting himself in the head (the foot is okay). I tried to show my bf how awesome yu are, but now he thinks there is something severely wrong with me. Oh well.

New Arc

John!
I have no idea what's happening in the new arc.
Will it make sense in the end?
