I read the comic before your commentary, and to me it looked like you were looking at the paper, not like you were showing it to us. It still does, actually.

Oh man, I am always getting made fun of for saying Mah-rio! Look, that is his name and that is how I say it. Also there is the may-nayse instead of mayo-naise problem.

Man, you are just like that crazy waitress at Olive Garden who kept saying "care-bo-nare-a," "It-ay-lian," and "beecon."

This is a crazy way to be.

Hahah. Uh, I said "that crazy waitress" as if you would have some idea who I was talking about.

It was a waitress I had at Olive Garden one time.

And now you know...

...the rest of the story.

Hey would you make fun of a person with a French accent? Or an Indian accent? Ok maybe you would. But my point is still valid!

I have, in the past, made fun of such accents, yes.

I also made fun of a French person for having admitted he ate donkey sausage.

Have you also eaten donkey sausage?

I believe "pah" is supposed to be a flat a as in "cat." So that it sounds like past-a (i.e., the word "past").

"Paw" is where the a sounds like the sound the doctor asks you to make, or when you understand something for the first time. Pa (rhymes with "bah [humbug]")-sta.

It is hard to differentiate without using actual phonetic symbols, so I guess it kind of helps to already know that Canadians say things wrong and in what way.

Okay yeah. It's totally "paw-sta"

I was confused by "pah" because all I could think of was OOM-PAH, which is the same as "paw". There's got to be a better way to spell "pah"... maybe "peah" ?
