a custom comic.

i get asked why i don't post more custom comics, and it is mostly because a lot of them don't make sense outside of the relationships they're made for. also, a lot of them are just not things i am particularly interested in but i make them and i do not feel like i should show them to anyone.

anyways, this comic was made for a dude who likes doctor who a lot. that is a show that i tried watching for a little while but the occasional interesting conceit could never outweigh the bullcrap cheesiness. people like this show because they do not go outside very much. but i guess this is true of television in general.

phofo - i love meatballs

I hate TV and love Docca Who. And it's not because I don't go outside, it's because I'm an overgrown adolescent.

Foo on you, you mean mean mean mean (and very talented) man.

I agree completely with the Dr. Who/TV thing. I've had friends try to impress on me how great Dr. Who is and I just don't care. I also go outside a lot.

hahaha...

When I was a kid, the public tv channel would put on british comedies every saturday night, stuff like Black Adder, Red Dwarf, stuff like that. But then they'd sometimes put on Doctor Who and I would groan and change the channel.

Any show can be good as long as you pick two characters that should have sex with each other and cheer them on! Whoo, stick it in Rose, Doctor! DO IIIIIT!

not really. it's ok to watch. definitely far from my desert island 5 though.

Your opinion about Doctor Who enrages me! Prepare yourself for an excessively verbose personal email in which at least 20% of the words are spelled incorrectly detailing reasons why your opinion is wrong.

How is it possible that you can make a stick figure look like the biggest nerd in the world? Maybe it's just the reflection of the "Magic" poster on the wall.

I think the disturbingly beady eyes inside the glasses do it for me. I know they're just Mr. Campbell's normal way of drawing eyes, but when they're framed through glasses I get the image of the nerd dude sitting at his computer, never blinking, writing Doctor Who fan fiction all day.

It's a drawing of my roommate, and while he doesn't write fan fiction, his love for the Dr. does occasionally cause fear in the rest of our hearts.

You've been furiously doling out harsh truths to technophiles, Dr. Who fans, Transhumanists, and the other assorted nerdy nerd nerds out there on the tubes this past week. I mean awesome and all, these things should be pointed out. I don't mean this as a criticism, but have you become angry at the internet lately for some reason?

There seems to be some confusion between recursion and self-reference, between recursion and nesting, and between recursion and repetition.

Repetition is not necessarily recursion. If you yell, "Shut the fuck up," at me a hundred times, you're being repetitive - but there is no recursion involved. But if someone gives you instructions that say, "Yell, 'Shut up,' then follow the instructions on this message," then it is not only a repetitive process, but recursive as well.
